Full Speed Ahead?
In the 4 months since we started, we have been called out approximately 25 times.
Half of the calls are for visitors, and half for locals.
In the early days we were able to provide full 24/7 cover, but with the loss of 2 of our members, some mid-week evening cover has been reduced. However, we hope to have recruited 5 new volunteers, and once trained, we should be able to give full cover once again.
A high profile visit by the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance put us in the spotlight recently, and was certainly good for our PR image!
